Now, I finished the third painting. Again, I’m only allowed 1 hour. When the hour is over I want to keep going so badly because I know I can improve. And I know this because in the first 25 minutes the whole thing is a full-blown mess, but hard work keeps it going. Big to small, big to small. General sketch and strokes to smaller and smaller details. I still need to get some control on the soft and hard edges. Not just some, a lot, probably. I experimented with brushes. I’m a total photoshop newbie so I download some brushes a few days ago and tried to see how it felt. So I decided to use a specific set on this painting. Lie. This was the set that was loaded when I opened Photoshop and I just felt that it kinda matched the original painting, so simply started it. I still need to make a better palette, I start by creating a color palette but it is never enough and I start sampling from the painting which is a bad thing. I need to create a palette with more “inbetween” colors before starting. The tones are matching closely because I kept the original in the same monitor so now I have no constrasty differences.
