Quick Sphinx Documentation Generation

1. Go into your source folder, type this to generate the empty documentation stubs.

sphinx-apidoc -F -o docs .

-o  stands for output directory. The dot is the current folder, which is the project folder.
-F generates a whole new Sphinx project (including conf.py)

2. Then, edit conf.py, check if the extension ‘sphinx.ext.autodoc’ is in the extensions list. Make sure you uncomment the sys.path.insert line at the beginning and put the absolute path to the root folder of your project. Sphinx will use this to search for your source files and their docstrings.

3. Build the documentation (I picked HTML, you can see a list here)

sphinx-build -b html . docs/html

-b stands for the output format.
dot stands for the docs folder
docs/html is the output folder

Wacom and Sketchbook – Offset Problem

If you are facing the problem in Sketchbook by where using the Wacom pen, the line that you draw is actually offset, making it impossible to draw, I will share the solution that worked for me.

Look for the executable of the program, right-click on it and choose Properties, go to the Compatibility tab and check “Disable display scaling on high DPI settings”.

Voilà!

Wacom Radial Menu Keystrokes not working in Photoshop CC 2014

If you come across this problem when any keystroke set up in the Radial Menu seems to have no effect, the solution is simple.

Create a PSUserConfig.txt file containing this line:

UseSystemStylus 0

Save it in  C:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014\Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 Settings\

Boom. It works as expected now. But what this does ?

Photoshop CC 2014 changes stylus use to use Microsoft system API’s, with these API’s you need to have Windows Ink enabled. These API’s give better stroke results and improve the out of the box experience for users using Windows tablet/convertible devices.

This file that we created makes Photoshop go back to the previous API. If you experience weirdness or just want the new behaviour back, you can edit the file and set it to 1 or just remove the file from the settings folder.
